webmoney(簡稱WM)網絡銀行是一家俄國網絡銀行,目前已經達到了500萬注冊用戶。使用前需要先開通一個WMID,此ID可以即時與别人聊天,像ICQ,MSN一樣。此ID裡面可設有多種貨币帳戶,如以美元來計的帳戶就是WMZ了,這也是國内外目前比較通用的WM帳戶。

The key point in providing authenticity of any data, circulating through the System is the verification of the information.
WebMoney Transfer offers 3 types of authentication:
- using secret key files. To launch WMKeeper Classic you need: a unique WM Identifier (WMID) consisting of 12 digits, a password and files with a secret key and purses, that are stored in the memory of your PC.IMPORTANT! Do not forget to save a backup copy of your keys and purses files at any removable media and keep them in a secure place! This will considerably simplify access recovery in case the files on your PC were lost or deleted.
- using personal digital certificates
- using e-Num — authorization service, providing high level of encryption and data protection. Challenge-response model allows to authenticate users on web sites, e-commerce and e-banking systems and other E-num integrated resources.
System architecture prevents any unauthorized access to the users’ WM purses and doesn't allow to make transactions using WM purses with no funds left in there.
All operations — storing the funds at WM Purses, issuing Invoices, transactions between users, instant messaging, are carried out in encrypted mode, using a 1024-bit RSA-like encryption algorithm. For each session the System uses unique session keys to provide and guarantee complete confidentiality of the transaction and data exchange.
The System as well provides protection against connection breaks. When any transaction is performed funds are either at the sender's Purse or at the Recipients's Purse - there exists no intermediate state. Thus, the funds can never be lost "on the way".
